Germany: Refugees integrated into labour market 'quicker than expected'

Deutsche Welle reports that the German Institute for Employment Research predicts that 400 000 refugees will be part of the labour market by the end of the year. As of now, 36% of refugees are in work and this number is expected to increase to 40% this autumn. Many are employed as temporary workers with relatively low wages, but 50% of those refugees that are working are in a skilled profession, which is very high considering only 1 in 5 has a vocational qualification.
