Next Thursday, Friday and Saturday (22-24 November), The University of Trento is hosting the WG2 COST Research Workshop on the topic of "Tackling the Migration and and Refugee Challenge - Exploring innovative policies and practices through the lens of social enterprises and third sector organizations" . The workshop is funded by EMPOWER-SE COST Action and organised by EMES Network, Euricse, and the University of Trento.
The event will involve researchers from different countries, exploring policies and practices of integration of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. The workshop targets specifically scholars that have been exploring innovative paths of social, economic and political inclusion achieved by local communities across Europe.
SIRIUS researchers and PI Francesca Calo, Thomas Montgomery, and Simone Baglioni from Glasgow Caledonian University will present some of the results of SIRIUS and TransSOL on the topic of "Are Refugees Welcome? The role of third sector organisations in solidarity and opposition to refugees in the UK."
Friday afternoon (23 November), PI of SIRIUS Simone Baglioni will introduce SIRIUS Project in a roundtable discussing challenges and findings of European projects.
Finally, Saturday 24 November, a knowledge exchange forum involving policy makers and third sector organisations has been organised and it will be facilitated by researchers.
