Dr Somdeep Sen, SIRIUS researcher at Roskilde University, will take part on a panel about white saviorism in development work.
The aim of the panel, organised by Together Against Racism, is to challenge the culture of white saviorism, which allow organisations to send young volunteers with limited knowledge and competencies to over-exploited countries with the intention to make a difference.By confronting both visible and invisible structures the objective is to raise the overall level of consciousness about the existence and issues with this culture.
The event will be held in Fælledvej 12, 2200 København N, Danmark on 20 May (4pm-6pm).
