The SIRIUS project will take part in the DG Research and Innovation and the Research Executive Agency participatory session "Labour market integration of migrants – challenges for the local level" organised as part of the European Week of Regions and Cities 2019.
The aim of this session is to foster an exchange of knowledge and practices between researchers working in Horizon 2020 projects on the labour market integration of migrants, and a range of actors coming from the policy, research and not-for-profit sectors.
SIRIUS project coordinator Professor Simone Baglioni, along with the project coordinator of the GEMM (Growth, Equal Opportunities, Migration and Markets) project Dr Neli Demireva, will open the session with short presentations containing key facts and figures and insights from research exploring the main challenges of integrating migrants into European labour markets.
Two roundtable discussions will follow focusing on barriers and enablers of labour market inclusion, allowing for debate and knowledge-sharing between participants.
