Sirius team at Charles University, in Prague, have issued a new report providing an overview of the key findings of the SIRIUS project in the Czech Republic as well as discussing results about recent research on the COVID-19 pandemic impact on labour migration in the country.
The report first discusses the role of different actors involved in the labour market integration process, unveiling the importance of the third sector in a context of limited public/state based measures such as the Czech one. It then sheds light on the difficulties faced by migrants, refugees and asylum seekers during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as on their agency capacity to deal with a dramatically changed social and economic scenario. Finally, it concludes with policy recommendations.
