Sriprapha Petcharamesree has recently published an article on Open Democracy which discusses that States are urged to apply a more inclusive social protection as well as humanitarian and emergency relief on equal basis among the population living within the same borders. Taking as case study Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia, she criticises the lack of protection that migrants have faced in these countries during the pandemic period.
